Eagles nine to face Brackett for Bi-District
The Eldorado Eagles baseball team will play a three-game series on Thursday and Saturday with the Brackett Tigers for the Bi-District Championship.
The series will be played at the Harper High School baseball field in Harper with the first game slated to begin at 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 2nd. Harper will be the home team in that game.
The second game is slated to begin at 12 noon on Saturday, May 4th, also on Harper’s baseball diamond.
Eldorado will be the home team in the second game. A third game, if necessary, will begin 30 minutes after the completion of the second game.
The Eldorado Eagles played a practice game against Winters on Friday, April 26th at the Lakeview High School baseball field in San Angelo where Eldorado posted a 6-2 victory.
The Eagles got their first run in the top of the third inning after Preston Rodriguez walked to reach first base and advanced on a J.P. Galan single and a pair of walks by Edward Hernandez and Jacob Sanchez.
Hector Reyes led off the fourth inning with a single before coming home on a Hagen Porras sacrifice fly.
A four run-tirade in the top of the fifth put the game out of reach as Hernandez, Sanchez, Will Barker and Rico Martinez each crossed the plate for the Warbirds. All four of the players singled before Eldorado tallied its first out in the inning. A Reyes double drove the last of them home before the inning ended on a Galan ground out to second base.
Lady Eagles face Forsan in playoffs
The Eldorado Lady Eagles softball team will play a three-game series with the Forsan Lady Buffs in the Area Round of the State
1A Playoffs beginning on Thursday, May 2nd and continuing on Saturday, May 4th.
The first game will be played at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 2nd, at the Lakeview High School softball field.
The second game is slated for 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 4th at the Central High School softball field in San Angelo.
Game three, if necessary, scheduled to begin 30 minutes after the end of the second game.
The Lady Eagles were undefeated in district play and are currently ranked 9th in the state.
The Lady Eagles traveled to Fort Stockton Friday, April 26th, where they played a practice game with the Alpine Lady Bucks who finished as a 2A State Finalist last year and have qualified for the 2A playoffs this year.
The Lady Bucks out hit the Lady Eagles to take a 12-6 victory in a game that proved to be a good tune-up for both teams.
EHS boys win District 8-1A track meet
The Eldorado Eagles track team traveled to Winters on Thursday, April 11th where the varsity boys won the district track meet for the second year in a row. The Eagles tracksters earned seven individual gold medals and a team gold in the 800 Meter Relay. The top four finishers in each event, as well as the top four relay teams will advance to the Area meet on Friday, April 19th in Mertzon. Placings in the individual events were as follows. Lady Eagles go undefeated in district
The Eldorado Lady Eagles dispatched TLCA and Santa Anna this week to maintain a perfect 10-0 record in District play while claiming the District 2-1A Championship and earning a bye in the first round of the State 1A Playoffs.

Lady Eagles just keep on winning
The #11 ranked Eldorado Lady Eagles softball team posted a 10-3 win over the Winters Lady Blizzards on Tuesday, March 19th in Winters. Taylor Curtis led the team at the plate, scoring three runs on four hits with a triple and three doubles.
